Read Sheet Music and Play Piano
I have always wanted to learn how to read sheet music. Sounds dumb but it’s like knowing a foreign language. It’s the language of music. Some say it’s the language of love. With it you can play any instrument.
The experts say more people stop trying to learn to play piano or some other instrument because reading music is hard! I felt that way too. It was too much work and time practicing.
That’s how my friend Kristin and I started arguing about the subject one day. She plays and reads music quite well. I was complaining about her showing off and she kept telling me how I could do this if I would just try it. I didn’t want to take any more piano lessons that didn’t show me a fun and easy way to learn how to read sheet music. She kept saying, “just do it”. You will learn to read sheet music in just one evening and you’ll be playing pretty good too!
I was so furous! I have tried to learn many times and I’m not stupid. It’s just that it takes years to be good at it the old fashion way with a music teacher. I don’t have that kind of time. I secretly even tried one of those online piano program and all it really did was show me the same slow method.
Kristen did say I had nothing to lose so I decided what the heck, and went for it. It was pretty cool! This guy really does do a good job and I learned how to read sheet music in just one day while my son was at school.
That’s what I call results and I don’t mean I can play a little kid song. In that one day I learned more than I could have in a year of standard lessons in a group where I was the oldest person there.
I learned how to read sheet music in just one day. No only that I am now moving on to advanced music something that would have taken much longer.
